Presidents Report - March 2018

We’ve had some cracker runs lately, with excellent opportunities to DRIVE your cars.

d livian2Matt has done a great job of ensuring we have a full calendar and has been assisted by other members such as Lawrie Bonello organising the drive to Del Rio at Wisemans Ferry, and the team organising mid-week drives for those lucky enough to enjoy them.

There was the drive to Dungog for a Movie Day organised by Brendan Osbourne, Fish “n” Chip Run to Avoca and The Ridge Run over the Darling Causeway to the Hydro Majestic Hotel.

These combined with shows such as the Anniversary Pony Round Up at Vineyard, Shannons Sydney Classic and All Ford Day ensure our members have a variety of reasons to enjoy their Mustangs.

Thank you to all involved and check out the new calendar for future events.

If you have an idea for a run contact Matt or the committee and we’ll help you organise it.

I would like to welcome to the sub committee Ken Benson as “New Member Liaison”.

Ken and Jan have been members for 20 years and have provided new member profiles for the magazine for some time. We felt they should be acknowledged with a title, which also gives Ken access to new member details provided by our membership officer, David Hogg.

Also new to the sub-committee is David Burnett from the ACT who is taking over from Don Spackman as the Canberra region contact.

(My aim to have everyone on the committee named “David” is one step closer!)

Welcome David and thank you Don for your 10 years of service as chapter contact.

Finally, the search for a suitable venue for the All-American Day continues with the Rouse Hill Town Centre being ruled out for this show.

The management of RHTC were very supportive of the event but I feel would not be able to handle 500 plus vehicles.

We may consider another event there in the future.

We are still in negotiation with the Macquarie Centre and will investigate Macarthur Shopping Centre as well.

Thank you to those members who have made suggestions.

See you at the Anniversary Pony Round Up at Vineyard if not sooner.

Enjoy those Mustangs.

David Livian
