Well I hope you all wished your Mustang "Happy Birthday" last month as without the 64 ½ model released on April 17 we would not have all the subsequent models we enjoy so much today.

It's sad to hear that Pontiac will become defunct with the auto world losing an iconic name, and one that inspired the GTO, recognized as the worlds first Muscle Car. We are fortunate to be passionate about a car that has weathered all the ups and downs of the economy, many fuel crisis and changing automotive trends to be continuously produced for 45 years. We will celebrate this achievement at the Vineyard Hotel on May 24 in fine style. The 45th Anniversary Pony Round up will be a family fun day and all stops have been pulled to make it a real celebration. With support from Jeremy, the Manager of the Vineyard Hotel we will have a Jumping Castle, twin Bunjii Jumping stations as seen and enjoyed at the All Ford Day as well as 2, yes 2 Racing car simulators (one for me and one for everyone else!!!) The venue has also expanded their permanent play gym and will provide a DJ to play music all day. All this will be FREE for Mustang drivers, with non-members who drive their Mustangs to the venue able to join up on the spot to enjoy these benefits. Everyone who drives a Mustang to the event will receive a $10 voucher to go towards lunch at Billy's Bistro inside the hotel. And of course the traditional great trophies and commemorative plaque. This is the club's way to give back to the members and we have catered for everyone so make an effort and come along to this great celebration. Nominations are now open to join the committee of this great club so if you are interested, fill out the form in this magazine and get involved. Judging from the new members below, we will have a huge turn out at Vineyard AND many potential new committee members: Welcome to: Christopher & Patricia McKay 1966 Coupe Enjoy those Mustangs, whether they be 45 years old or 1 year old.
