Presidents Report – December 2019

Presidents Report

Another year gone way too fast!

Mustangs are the talk of the racing paddock with DJR Team Penske securing some major milestones; most wins in a season, first to win Darwin Triple Crown, Bathurst Champion, Teams Champions, and of course Scott McLaughlin Drivers Champion.

And this exposure doesn’t hurt our membership either with new S550 owners joining us every month.

Thank you to all the members who bought or took tickets at the last meeting to win the Roush Stage 3.

I was asked why it is a 2017 model and if it is a new vehicle, and yes, it is new.Being a Roush, the Mustang has to be imported and converted to Roush specs by the authorised Australian Roush and Shelby reseller, Mustang Motorsport. This takes time but it is new, it is a Roush, and I believe it is the last one available. If you cant get to a meeting tickets can also be purchased through the MOCA website.

Organisation for the All American Day is well underway with all partners for the event returning to support us for another year.

The management of our new venue, Macarthur Square, is very excited about hosting the second event there and I am expecting a huge turnout now that the word has gone out about how great the inaugural event was.

Car parking will be largely the same as this year, but they are working on extending the shade structures to the second carpark for the 2021 event.

The 2021 AAD will also be the 40th Anniversary of the show so we will be planning something special.I would like to thank all the committee, members who organised runs and regional delegates for their support of the MOCA NSW throughout 2019.

Without your input we wouldn’t have the great club we have now, but we can always use more help.

ie: AN EVENT COORDINATOR WOULD BE NICE!

Have a great Christmas and New Year, and see you at the All American Day.

Enjoy your Mustang
