Nepean Dam official address is: Avon Dam Rd, Bargo NSW 2574, you turn right at Nepean Dam Road.
Travel south down the Freeway towards Mittagong (possible stop at Pheasants Nest Servo – optional). Motor on to the top of Skyline (Catherine Hill). Deviate off to left ramp. Turn left and follow the Old Hume Highway back through Alpine, Yerrinbool, Yanderra to the T intersection at Remembrance Drive. Turn left off motorway towards Bargo, follow old highway to Nepean and Avon Dam railway bridge, turn right over the railway bridge and at the T intersection turn right towards Nepean Dam crossing over the Freeway. The Nepean Dam turn off is approximately 1 kilometre past the Freeway crossover. Turn right into the dam road to the second BBQ area on the left. Facilities include BBQs, toilets, under cover area, children’s playground. Wildlife can also be found there, and you can take a brisk or slow walk down to the dam area.
