Presidents Report – April 2021

recently held our first live meeting for 2021 and welcomed 26 members including a couple of new ones in Kevin and Sharon Gander with their 1998 Convertible and 1990 Capri Convertible. We also had our first committee meeting for a while and caught up with quite a bit of housekeeping.

Firstly, the All-American Day has been pushed back to the 4th of July; American Independence Day!We’re hoping by then this whole COVID thing will have settled down and the Department of Health will allow us to hold the event without the prohibitive conditions in place now.

The dedicated Facebook page has been updated along with our website and associated media.
Please help spread the word to other American car clubs, members and friends through whatever media you use, even through TALKING to someone Secondly, The Anniversary Pony Round Up will be held at the Vineyard Hotel on April 18, the day after the 57th Anniversary, or more accurately the CORRECT date in the US!

For the Round Up we will in the new carpark behind the hotel and while not being as visible from Windsor Rd it is a bigger carpark and better laid out.

Same deal as 2019; free entry with a $10 voucher for the first 100 Mustangs for lunch at the bistro and the usual array of trophies. Gates open at 9am with breakfast, coffee and toilets available after then.

Finally, while on events, the All Ford Day is confirmed for July 25 at WSID.
Unfortunately, due to minor development of the carpark our spaces are limited to 60 Mustangs, and no spectators; meaning anyone in the ticketed car is OK but you can’t park outside and walk in. (Bloody COVID!)

For the All-American Day and Anniversary Pony Round Up, just turn up but for the All Ford Day email Pat Schinella for a ticket.
Check Pat’s report for other event information, including a drive day at Wakefield Park with the FPV Collective.

With costs increasing for the production of this excellent magazine we have decided, following a suggestion, and unanimous agreeance, from the attending members at the general meeting we will be increasing the MOCA NSW membership cost. It has been $60 for many, many years and looking at nearly every other car club we were
selling ourselves short.

We will be increasing membership to $75 (which seems to be an average cost for many car clubs) effective July 1.
That means if you renew after April 1 and before July 1 it will still cost you $60 for 2021/22 membership.

Considering anyone with Concessional Registration must be a member by July 1 anyway, and considering and the increase for the year is equivalent to 2 good cups of coffee, it shouldn’t be an issue.

Thank you in anticipation of your understanding and I look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming events in our calendar.
